Would it be unreasonable to wear this to an event that the dress code is ‘black tie’? It’s an event at Christmas. (Pic may take time to upload)

That's a beautiful dress. Black tie usually means cocktail length dresses, so you'd be more 'done' than code suggests but I wouldn't let that stop you!

It’s gorgeous but that train would bother me. I think it would make dancing difficult, and anywhere where you could be crowded, I’d be concerned it might be trodden on and the dress ripped.

Omg thanks for mentioning this… I totally didn’t think about the train. And there will
be dancing for sure.

Ive seen similar styles without a train so will look for those x
