Say no?

Motnight · 30/08/2025 09:14

How old are your sons? Do they live with you?

Cherrysoup · 30/08/2025 09:18

Kick them out, stop giving them money. Are they aggressive?

IThinkPink · 30/08/2025 09:21

How many? How old are they?

is it just you at home?

MiddleAgeRageMonster · 30/08/2025 09:22

Might need a bit more context.
The obvious answer is to say 'no son, I am not giving you any money and you need to sort that job out I paid you to do '.

SpongeKnobNoPants · 30/08/2025 09:22

How old are they? Old enough to work? Old enough to move out?

PoshDuckQuarkQuark · 30/08/2025 09:24

@Gimpee So they stick a gun to your head or threaten to murder you if you don't send them money?

You are allowed to say no.

Shinyandnew1 · 30/08/2025 09:24

Do they live with you?
How old are they?
What jobs have you paid them to do?

Have you told them, 'no'?

ninjahamster · 30/08/2025 09:24

That sounds awful. Do they live with you? If so, time to make them stand on their own two feet. Start being strong, do NOT give them any money, you are not responsible for them now they are adults, they need to grow up.

Flossflower · 30/08/2025 09:34

You just need to say No.

2catsandhappy · 30/08/2025 09:48

Need a bit more context @Gimpee
Are they working adults or in education?
Do they live with you? Are you renting or HA or homeowner?
I mean the best way to get rid of bullies is to walk away or not be in contact.
One could block a phone number for example. Or move to a one bed flat,
change door locks
Are they violent or threatening or is it persistent demands, in your face like a toddler might wear down a parent.

Elsvieta · 30/08/2025 11:20

Don't give them another penny, and when you need jobs doing, taskrabbit is good.
