How did Cat Deeley end up so successful in the USA?

When you think about Cheryl Tweedy, Holly Willoughby, Davina McCall and Amanda Holden all of their careers are UK based but Cat managed to be very successful in the USA and even received 5 Emmy nominations.

I just wondered about this as you typically do not find many British celebs make it over the pond.

I had no idea she worked over there?
What did she do? Acting? Presenting?

I’d imagine that Cheryl’s Geordie accent is difficult to understand if you live outside the UK.

Did Davina and Holly even try to crack America or were their roots in the UK so they stayed?
