I’m starting a new job on Monday and the imposter syndrome is really hitting me.
When I got the offer, I was genuinely shocked... I even told my partner I’d bet money I wouldn’t get it. In interviews I come across as bubbly, chatty, and confident (I’ve done loads over the years and know I interview well), but I’m worried my new manager will think, “This isn’t the same person we met.”
It’s a big step up for me, I’ve been out of work for the last 8 months and I can’t shake the feeling that I’ll be “found out” as a fraud. I just can't believe they picked me! Any advice on how to cope with these feelings?
