New job - imposter syndrome in overdrive

I’m starting a new job on Monday and the imposter syndrome is really hitting me.

When I got the offer, I was genuinely shocked... I even told my partner I’d bet money I wouldn’t get it. In interviews I come across as bubbly, chatty, and confident (I’ve done loads over the years and know I interview well), but I’m worried my new manager will think, This isn’t the same person we met.”

It’s a big step up for me, I’ve been out of work for the last 8 months and I can’t shake the feeling that I’ll be “found out” as a fraud. I just can't believe they picked me! Any advice on how to cope with these feelings?

First congratulations
Next, deep breath and don’t catastrophize. You got appointed as the best candidate, on interview and application
First day, take your own cup(if you drink hot drinks) notebook and pen to take notes
Listen, stay calm, and don’t worry!

congratulations!

Some advice that was given to me years ago which makes sense more and more is act confident - they won’t know you’re a bag of nerves underneath! hope it goes well. X
