To ask what you use for nappy rash now they have discontinued yellow metanium?

Shamelessly posting here for more traffic as I'm desperate. DS is 4 with SEN and physical health issues so still in nappies. As a result of his health conditions and medications he often suffers from nappy rash. We always had barrier creams for day to day to try and prevent the rash in the first place, and the yellow metanium for when it flared up and got sore, but we've run out now and it's been discontinued and I can't find anything else to get on top of it as well as the yellow metanium did.

Has anyone got any suggestions for something that can soothe an already very sore looking rash? Fortunately no broken skin yet but equally it's not getting any better. Will speak to GP on Tuesday if no better but hoping someone will have a magical suggestion we could pick up over the weekend!

I thought metanium was back on the shelves now?

Ashton and parsons have a spray out that has the same ingredients, I'll see if I can find the link

Weleda nappy cream is excellent.

We used to use metanium yellow when nappy rash got bad, but now we use bepanthem at every change as a prevention and it seems to be working well. Maybe you are already using that for your barrier cream though?

@TequilaNights metanium have rebranded their white cream into a yellow box, so it looks like the old yellow cream but it's not the same.

Bepanthen is good and I found it as effective as metanium but without the tendency to stain.
