Just putting this out there, I’m not particularly liked on this forum so thought I’d do it!
the price increase is sending people crazy! I’ve seen it on social media and heard it first hand from people I work with….. they are freaking out!
but for me I’m like WTAF - no I dont need it, and wouldn’t qualify for it…….. but have been horrendously overweight in my life yes, have I struggled with keeping slim my hole life yes, do i just eat less and battle on to keep a healthy weight yes….. have I put on a stone recently due to academic work yes, is it cos I’ve overeaten and drank too much pop yes!! Will I sort it all out through a better diet yes!
its a type of insulin….. insulin saves lives but equally can be very dangerous
end of rant!

Well done?

ThePinkPoster · 20/08/2025 20:25

Good chat.

Liliwen · 20/08/2025 20:26

I don’t need it so I’m not commenting on it. Why are you?

Kpo58 · 20/08/2025 20:26

So is this a hate on fat people who struggle to loose weight by themselves and cannot afford the massive price increase?

No3392 · 20/08/2025 20:26

Yawn

Missingmarbles1 · 20/08/2025 20:26

Hard to imagine why you aren't particularly liked...

DailyEnergyCrisis · 20/08/2025 20:28

What’s the AIBU? AIBU for spouting a load of superior bollocks about being thinner than some other people who aren’t as thin and take medication to help? Despite the fact I too, didn’t used to be thin.

BatchCookBabe · 20/08/2025 20:29

Settles in with popcorn 🍿

findmeaunicorn · 20/08/2025 20:29

Also would I love a miracle cure to end my never endless suffering of struggling with keeping slim! yes! But the truth is you are what you eat in most cases….. I do know there are exceptions but not many……

Not liked you say? Can't imagine why. Oh ...wait...it's because you're a goady nosepoke with an opinion on things that have piss all to do with you and you're going to share them no matter what. That's it right?

Guess what a miracle cure is for struggling to get slim/keep slim!

Weight loss injections!

I wouldn't take them, but you have started a thread bashing them and people who use them, but it sounds like you reeaaaallly want to take them. 🤔

'Nosepoke!' 😂 Never heard that word before. Love it!

333FionaG · 20/08/2025 20:33

Weight loss injections are NOT insulin. Educate yourself before berating people about their life choices.

Why would we hate some random on the internet that we’ve never met? You’re not that important 😂. TBH I just think you’re bored and looking for a fight. Maybe read a book instead?

Bluebella27 · 20/08/2025 20:35

Is it a medal you want? Your post alone tells me you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Mounjaro has cleared a fog in my brain that I’ve had my whole life. I’m only 2 weeks into taking it and will be utterly devastated if I can no longer continue using this tool.

HarperValley · 20/08/2025 20:36

I have no personal skin in the game when it comes to weight loss jabs, do what works for you. But as a type one diabetic please stop spreading dangerous misinformation, mounjaro (and other similar medications) are NOT insulin and do not have the same impact on the body as insulin.

MeridaBrave · 20/08/2025 20:39

I’m also someone whose spend whole life dieting to stay slim. I gained a stone and thought you know what my BMI is at 27 I’ll give it a go (I have PCOS). And you know what? It’s liberating. One tiny injection and now it’s not a struggle. I just want to eat less. 8kg has gone with no effort in 8 weeks.

Yes it’s expensive. But why knock it?

Ballykissmangle · 20/08/2025 20:41

Weird post.

You extol the virtues of losing weight without the use of medication - but at the same time that approach hasn’t worked for you.

Mounjaro and the like do have side effects - but so does being consistently overweight or obese.

Well done, you. Do you mind me asking whether you feel more full during the day than not, so you're less likely to want go eat much. I wondered how that reducing of appetite works.

Sleepeazie · 20/08/2025 20:51

Can’t imagine why someone who is ‘unliked’ but clearly identifies as (mostly) a healthy weight, which she insinuates is virtuous.. feels threatened enough by people who are objectively nicer, achieving a similar weight profile - to post about a lifestyle choice they make which doesn’t concern her? hmmmm

Summerbay23 · 20/08/2025 21:00

😂 nice try.

lolacherricoke · 20/08/2025 22:45

Yes. Firstly each meal even if small keeps me fuller longer. So far less likely to snack. Also I now eat smaller portions as I’m not worried about being hungry. Far less likely to snack as a result. Stayed on 2.5mg (but using a 5mg pen to save money) so can enjoy food just eat less of it. It’s the first time in my life that eating less is easy. I don’t understand all the hate: if you don’t want to take it, then don’t.
