Gingivostomatitis

My daughter has been unwell for a few days so yesterday I took her to the drs. He told us that she has gingivostomatitis due to somebody kissing her with a cold sore.
My partners parents are staying with us at the moment and straight away I started blaming her because she is always kissing our 19 month old daughter and for her whole life I have asked my MIL to not kiss her.
She doesn’t have a cold sore at the moment and neither does my partner who also gets them occasionally. AIBU by blaming her and making her feel guilty for my daughter being unwell with bleeding gums and hasn’t eaten in 5 days ?

Seems much more likely she got it from her dad if he gets cold sores, why didn't you tell him not to kiss her?

Is this a reverse?
