Cancer scare? Mole cut off , pain?

I had a cancer scare on my face. They cut the mole off and I have quite a big scar
What can I put on the scar to stop it from hurting please? They said Vaseline but it’s not helping. Any tips from someone that has gone through this please? Thank you

Is it the actual scar that hurts or nerve issues ? I ask as with my skin cancer I had nerve issues around where they cut.
Silicone based creams help reduce the scar but also I find them quite relieving, your dr recommended painkillers and just time if it was quite recent? Is it quite fresh still?

Iv had 2 cut off my back they just naturally healed did they use dissavle stiches

Take pain killers and keep on with the vaseline , you'll be surprised at how well it heals.

I've recently had a basal cell carcenoma removed from my face. It wasnt a mole but was a similar size. I have been using vaseline and I think it is helping recovery and I'm hoping the scar wont be too visable (it will be, cos its on my nose!) but I havent had any pain whatsoever. So I think you should ring the dermatology department that treated you and ask for advice about that.
