Isn't there a hand towel in the bathroom along with soap and the sink?

Pinkleopardprint · 17/08/2025 16:56

As in when you need to change it, he puts a tea towel in. I said this is very weird!

I do it all the time 🤷🏻‍♀️

GoodVibesOnly21 · 17/08/2025 17:31

I suppose technically it doesn’t actually matter but it would annoy me too! Is it because the hand towels are kept upstairs and he can’t be bothered to get one?

I keep some spare hand towels in the utility room so I don’t have to go upstairs and get one!

VaseofViolets · 17/08/2025 17:33

It does the job, dries your hands…. it’s not a big deal I guess, it gets washed anyway.

ginasevern · 17/08/2025 17:48

I thought you meant he was using the tea towel from the kitchen, instead of the available hand towel. That would be odd and a bit gross. But if he's using a clean tea towel and it doesn't make its way into the kitchen then I can't see it matters. Although why he prefers a tea towel to a hand towel is another matter.

Fentyfan · 17/08/2025 17:50

It would drive me mad! It’s a tea towel, not a hand towel - it’s a big YANBU from me!

my dh hangs the hand towel lengthways along the top bar so it looks really stupid…

KnittingOnEmpty · 17/08/2025 17:51

I feel your irritation. My DH is always grabbing the fresh tea towel I've just got out and using it as his personal napkin/hand towel. (There's an actual hand towel available). Then I find it in a damp, crumpled ball left on the table. Grrr

Longnightmoon · 17/08/2025 17:52

TBH, I wouldn't be able to say which of my rectangular fabric things were which, hand towel or tee towel. Any do either job.

Cynic17 · 17/08/2025 17:52

Life is too short to stress about this stuff, honestly...... just be glad he's washing his hands!

I know I’m a pedant, but this is a new one…

Please tell me tee towel was a typo 😂🙏

So am I, what’s your point? I found it funny 😁

BondAway25 · 17/08/2025 19:20

Ok I know how wide & deep you need it, but how long do you want your extension ditch. I can be there at 8 am

My point is I don't have the faintest idea what you are on about, and you seem to have posted to be finickity about spelling or grammar or something, in some sort of nasty, mean spirited "one up man ship" and in an attempt to make me feel belittled.

I don't feel belittled in the slightest, by the way. This behaviour says nothing about me, and everything about you. I will always call out this sort of spite, purely because it does not affect me, but I know it affects others very deeply, and if you were dyslexic, you would know that.

Talk about an overreaction 🤣

All this over a tea towel, hehe.

Not an over reaction to call someone out on spiteful behaviour that is likely to cause anger and distress to some people if its aimed at them

Didimum · 17/08/2025 21:33

I don’t see the difference. What’s the issue?

Not spiteful at all!

Anger and distress is over-egging it a bit.

BCBird · 17/08/2025 22:00

When he changes it he puts in a tea towel. When u change it you put in a hand towel.

No it isn't. You seem to be determined not to accept that your behaviour is out of order and is will cause distress. Hence why I always call it out. it doesn't distress me, because I am too old and ugly to care. but it causes huge distress to others, to be picked on and belittled like this.

now you have been told, you cannot carry on treating people like that and claim ignorance.
