To think all politicians are just actors?

I honestly think politics is just one big performance. Every politician, no matter the party, plays a role - saying what people want to hear, putting on a persona and carefully crafting their public image. They rehearse their speeches, stage their reactions and spin every situation to suit their narrative.

At this point, it feels less like leadership and more like a never-ending reality show. AIBU to think they’re all just actors playing the game?

Have got my bingo card, at the ready.

Then why are people voting for them? MPs are put in place by their constituents.

I actually know an MP and he is genuinely one of the most decent guys I know. He works incredibly long hours to help and support as many of his constituents as he can. He has a lot of integrity.

So yes, I think YABU.

Voters only get to choose from the options in front of them. My point was more that once they’re in, a lot of what we see feels like performance rather than genuine leadership.

Yes people can only choose from the available options. If they're useless locally and doing nothing in Parliament, they should get voted out. Let's see what Clacton decide.
