Swimming after laparoscopy

Not AIBU but posting for traffic.

DD had a laparoscopy 30 July for suspected Endometriosis. It wasn't endo but found a cyst and removed it. 3 incisions.

She's a competitive swimmers.

Consultant said no baths for 5 days to allow wounds to heal but swimming after 14 would be fine and be led by her body for any and all activities. She's been walking and small amount on exercise bike every other day, all fine

She swam on Thursday so day 16 and it hurt. She only did 20 lengths/20 mins and not a full 2 hours session so definitely taking it easy.

She's desperate to get back in the pool. She has a course course booked bank holiday week which will involve small amounts of swimming each day.

Long shot but has one any with experience of specially swimming after a lap?

I think it’s a very much try it and see. I had one but it was much bigger (6 incisions, massive endo excision)
I tried doing some exercise and it hurt so I stopped, then tried again a week later and it was ok
I did find stuff that hurt one day could be ok a few days later
my swimming is in reservoirs and rivers so didn’t do any for a good 12 weeks due to infection risk!
