Okay, so no "precogs" involved, however, given that AI is fraught with bias and ethical and environmental concerns, how do we feel about this step closer to a "brave new world"?

Given the controversy over stop and search, I don’t see this happening.

I suspect this is more about Peter Kyle wanting any excuse, however ridiculous, to go on TV or Radio. He really is pathetic.

It seems pointless as the police already know about lots of crimes, but lack the resources or appetite to investigate them properly.

I’d say we need something more like Robocop (or perhaps even Judge Dredd given the state of our criminal justice system )

Minority Report is one of my all time favourite movies and I do believe we predictive technologies will impact all areas of mid 21st century life.
