How does this work for scanned documents?

When someone asks for a scan of a document from you whether this be an employer, university, doctor etc - how does it work?

I know that might be a bit of a silly question, but I’ve tried scanning on my phone and although the scan works and the scanned document is produced and everything is visible, the colour of the paper changes. The original paper colour is white but with the scan it turns brownish yellow.

Is that an issue for these scans? Would they expect the scanned document to be just as white as the original document?

Are you using an app on your phone to scan? Like GeniusScan?

It's just a copy, don't worry about it.

No one ever seems to care about scan quality.

I just got some forms today that are at an angle and a bit blotchy. I will forward them on to the correct officials and they will no doubt be accepted.

if I want the best scan though, I use my printer, not my phone.

People know scans will not match the original perfectly, don't worry.
