To feel a bit sick when looking at certain celebs?

I have a weird thing where certain people make me feel physically sick/Uneasy. It’s mainly celebrities or people in the public eye.

One example is Jeremy Corbyn. Nothing to do with his politics - it’s something about him.

My latest one is Danny Dyer - especially with a moustache.

Anyone else get this?

😆😆

Not as strongly as you feel OP but definitely people I don't like. Have never seen Pedro Pascal in anything but his face splurged all over everywhere gets on my nerves. I don't understand the worship at all. Michael Macintyre is so self satisfied. Can't bear him.

Farage and Trump, both make me physically gag.
Steve Mangan, I'm sure he's lovely, but he just makes me feel 🤮

I know what you mean about Steven Mangan. I feel faintly queasy looking at him and don't enjoy any of his performances because of it.
Heard him on the radio once though (Loose Ends, I think) and he came across very well – funny and witty. I seem to like him if I can't see him Grin Sorry Steven, that sounds ruder than I meant it to.

AWitchCalledMeg · 14/08/2025 09:42

Yes I get this. Kier Starmer, he reminds me of gone off meat or something, his face has no vitality and is horribly fleshy and bland. Its nothing to do with political dislike, I dislike most PMs and prominent politicians.
David Walliams is the stuff of nightmares, like the epitome of a serial killer, I think he will be outed in 25 years as this generations Saville.
Prince Andrew makes me feel nauseous, his face is both pugnacious and repugnant.

Amanda Holden makes me physically recoil. Liz Hurley also.

For blokes, Paul Daniels and Bruce Forsyth used to have this effect on me. Also John Cleese now he's older. AND James Blunt. Urgh.

Have you seen Liz Hurleys son Damian...? Creepy!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 14/08/2025 09:44

Stephen Mulhern
Tess Daly
Dani Lambert from Towie

TheFunSponge · 14/08/2025 09:44

Nick Knowles and Stephen Mulhern. I switch channels immediately!

Jamesblonde2 · 14/08/2025 09:44

Martin Clunes, I did enjoy Doc Martin though.

I get what you mean about Martin Clunes. It's the wet lip look. But he does seem like a nice man and always comes across well when he presents HIGNFY so I feel mean saying it 🤣.

needsalotterywin · 14/08/2025 09:46

My hubby cannot stand Claire Balding...he gets irrationally angry when she appears on TV - also Jane McfuckingDonald as he affectionately refers to her!!
For me, Trump is the obvious one - I want to rip my arm off so I've got something to throw at the TV when he comes on. Also another vote for Anthea Turner - so sanctimonious and twee. I know there are several others - just can't think of them at the moment but give me time!!!

Coffeeteasugar · 14/08/2025 09:47

Timmy Mallet - even saw someone dressed as him at a 90s weekend and it caused shivers down my spine. As a kid I was petrified he would come and hit me with his mallet so I think mine has a basis in childhood fears

MixedFeelingsNoFeelings · 14/08/2025 09:47

James Corden. It's that babyface thing, can't look at it too long. Jimmy Carr, Michael Ball...

Giggorata · 14/08/2025 09:48

I couldn’t bear Kirk Douglas, from being a child. He looked evil to me.
As all the stuff came out, I wasn't at all surprised.

There are loads of slebs that I don't like, for no real reason, but few of them give me the visceral reaction I got from Douglas.

I think he looks like he would smell of warm wee.

I’m always going to think this too now. Thanks for that 😆

ThatAgileLimeCat · 14/08/2025 09:51

Mick hucknall has always made my skin crawl.

SuperShinyToothWoman · 14/08/2025 09:53

Bluecrystal2 · 14/08/2025 08:18

Ricky Tomlinson because he always looks sweaty and dirty.

Yep, him too. He also.looks a lot like my ex husband (I know!) which probably doesn't help.

Big beards, big hair, bleurgh...

Beachtastic · 14/08/2025 09:53

Mad Men was a great series but I just couldn't bear to look at John Hamm (without, at the time, having any idea that he is in fact a prize arsehole) so ended up abandoning it altogether.

LadySuzanne · 14/08/2025 09:53

Boris Johnson
Donald Trump
Nigel Farage

Anjo2011 · 14/08/2025 09:54

Gregg Wallace, even before the scandal.

Zodiacrobat · 14/08/2025 09:55

OB1Kenobi · 14/08/2025 07:43

Mick Hucknall

I didn’t think I had anyone I had that kind of reaction to until I read this name - yes he gives me the boak! He just oozes sleaze and unwanted handsy man.

Nothing to do with him being a red head, I live in northern Scotland where there are probably more redheads than almost anywhere else, so I’m well used to them!

BoudiccaRuled · 14/08/2025 09:55

Sydney Sweeney, those bovine, cold eyes and sulky expression. Ugh.

mauvaiseherbe · 14/08/2025 09:58

Damien Hurley ! - anyone who has seen the Pat Magrath advert,
the one with Irina Shayk, or
posing preening, pouting and tossing his locks

OneMoreProfiterole · 14/08/2025 09:59

David Beckham. Horrible… just horrible.

Emma Willis and her murderer eyes.

He looks more like Cameron Diaz than Liz Hurley!
