Do you think that some areas/regions are more friendly than others?

Or is it a case of nice and not so nice people everywhere?

I’m sure that I’ve heard stereotypes that some places are known for being more friendly.

I must admit that I have found that when I visit certain towns I find the vibe to be all off. It could be that it’s snobby or there’s racism/sexism. Other places you will encounter a lot of friendly helpful people.

On one hand, I think if you are visiting another country you can get the impression it is more friendly than your home country, but it’s really just because you will encounter people who are interested in you and chatty because you are ‘different’.

But there are definitely parts of the UK that have developed more friendly cultures than others ( I’ve moved around quite a bit in mainland Britain)
