Working while got kids

Hi all
Just wondering how you worked it when you had young kids. My partner comes in at 5 and I'm out 5 till 10 for 4 days in the week and all day Saturday. We just get a Sunday together.

When DS was little for a couple of years we’d ‘swap’ him over - we used to do it on a garage forecourt on the way - me on my way home and DH on his way to work!

I work Mon-Fri 9-5 and he works shifts. We use paid childcare as also have no family help.

It's hard and some weeks we barely see eachother. We just make sure that, when we can, we have good quality family time.
