Ok so my DD is almost 12, since a few months before leaving primary school she has been saying she wants to be a boy. I so wish I’d opted out of PhSE lessons(sorry if I got the name wrong) in a tiss. She is displaying sign of dysphoria, hunching to hide her chest will only wear certain clothes. I let her get hair cut no problem, she can wear what she wants no problem but she wants to change her name. I said no. I have read the cass review and changing names etc can be more damaging. I don’t even think the doctor had read the cass review when I mentioned it bevause to ease her period distress I got a contraceptive pill because she was flooding etc.

Anyone else have a child have a phase and come through it. Im calmer now but I few weeks ago I felt in a state about it all I want her to have a happy teen life. I thought she would be the last person to be like this. Any advice welcome.
