Why are so many women beholdent to a male

I give up. I was brought up to be independent. I got pregnant at 16 ir was not I’m dead! I had the kid (she's now a Dr) I was a board director in a FTSE 100 at 32. I worked hard. Why are there so many posts on Mumsnet by women who can't take responsibility?

I expect OP would say I’m “beholden” to my husband. We prefer to call it being a family / a loving partnership (38 yrs) / a happy marriage (34 years) / a team.

I wouldn’t be living the life I have without him but he wouldn’t be living the life he has without me.

Why are there posts about women on huge salaries who can’t budget , are broke and can’t understand that not everyone can walk into such a high paying role ?
why are there posts about women who hate all sport?
Why are there posts from women in prestigious roles with poor communication and comprehension skills?

because people are different? Because human relationships are often complex , love is blind , self esteem often absent, people have different strengths and weaknesses, and because people just like different ways of living
