Chat GPT Agent

Posting here for traffic to get your experiences of using Chat GPT Agent - anyone, please?

Inspired by a recent thread regarding how some of us could benefit from a PA as there is so much endless stuff to organise, plan, arrange, the logistics when you have a busy job, kids, dog, cat and a giraffe...you know what I mean. AIBU to think this new Agent could be the answer to our plea?

I don't know about Chat GPT's PA skills, but I've used it at work to help write reports etc.

GrooveArmada · 08/08/2025 15:26

Interestingly, I saw some comments on LinkedIn suggesting it could effectively research things for you, such as hotel bookings, activities, holidays etc. I got slightly excited at the prospect of time savings here 😅 and wanted to find out if it really is helpful!

Ask ChatGpt about it!

I've got a tech colleague that's been training his AI as PAs, they have different styles and he deploys them on different tasks. They write his LinkedIn posts, deal with his diary and reply to emails they even have names. It's very hard to tell if we are communicating with humans or AI as its everywhere.

It can pull together a whole itinerary, give cost and travel plans or compare different trips for you.

InSpainTheRain · 08/08/2025 17:04

Yes! I used it recently - I had 4 days leave at the end of a business trip in Asia. I asked it for suggestions of places I might like to go (I described the sort of places I wanted, and also where I had been already so I didn't want to go to). It gave me 5 options as requested. I chose one of them and then I asked it for a 4 day itinerary for that place. Which it did... I'll find out how that works out next month but it honestly looks great.

I also use it for composing reports, giving me interview questions, and use it a lot for learning Spanish (ask questions, grammar points, giving me work sheets to fill in with conjugated verbs, marking the work sheets). List goes on!

Chatgpt just helped plan my holiday. I use it for work, emails, recipes. Advice

Linked in is nuts though. And I think over 50% of the posts on there are bots/AI. Which is a time saving I guess ...

I use research agents at work, PA agents are the way forward for admin!

WhineAndWine1 · 08/08/2025 18:24

I used the agent yesterday to plan my a trip to Florida. It’s gave me a full deep dive on flights and hotels etc.

Yeah I’ve used it to research a weekend away. Gave it an area, and a budget and asked for hotel recommendations. Then asked for a few activities in the area, plus restaurant suggestions. I gave some info at the start that it was a weekend for DH and me, no kids, and in August so summer activities needed. DH has a few anaphylactic allergies so o added that in and said I wanted hotels and restaurants that could cater for that.

I still went and looked at the hotels individually to choose what I wanted, ditto the activities and restaurants. But it was a much quicker and easier starting point.

I use ChatGPT for all sorts of things now. It's very useful for travel plans!

Bearbookagainandagain · 08/08/2025 19:57

I use Microsoft copilot every day at work. Not that much as a PA but for reporting, summarising information, drafting sensitive emails etc.

I have started to use it for email management or look for information through our company SharePoints , and it's very good for that too. It's integrated with Microsoft 365 and has access to our internal portal so can find all material or pages on a specific topic or from a specific person, it's much faster than having to manually search through everything.

GrooveArmada · 09/08/2025 06:59

Thanks all. Can I ask do you put very detailed prompts? Do you bullet point them? What works best eg say you want it to research and plan a holiday or an event for you?

I am trying to be sustainable with AI and only use it where I really would benefit from it, rather than do it for fun, habitually or because I'm lazy - it occurred to me this is definitely one of those areas and some tips would be helpful.
