argh
I am having people round tomorrow and was planning on preparing sme of the food tonight.

for various reasons (mostly screaing baby) I failed to get all the ingredients I needed today.
at 6pm I call him and he is still at work but "just thinking about leaving"
I ask him if he could go to the supermarket and pick up the other stuff.

no sign of him.
I am so cross, I am going to be up till all hours now cooking and getting stressed out.
plus the house is a tip and I am on here instead of tidying it.
I can't phone him because I can't find my mobile and I can't ring it (or him) from the house phone because for some reason it's broken and doesn't even have a dial tone, which is a bit odd as it was working earlier.

ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

oh, and I just had to change ds1's bed because he decided it would be funny to tip his cup of water all over it.
yeah
hilarious

Plus tell him to pull his finger out and help tidy up- it's his home and his children that have made it untidy, so he can either do that or do some of the prep work. Is it a cordless phone?

does your phone a loud message tone? o2 do free texts on there website, try texting your mobile.

also make sure he at least tidies up when he gets back while you do the food.

try not to stress it will just make everything seem harder. good luck i am sure you will manage (couldnt you just do sarnies for them in the morning?)

deep breath, and another, one for luck!! You are right to be unreasonable!! He probably doesn't know what a panic you're in and that you are really annoyed with yourself for not getting more things done, I only say this assuming that you are just like me and have a crappy memory and badly organised, unless you are usually super woman and this is a first which must be frustrating too. Whatever it is you're doing make it more simple, people are coming to see you not judge your house and culinary skills. Throw everything in a place where they won't go and hoover, spray some polish and WOW you have a Posie house (before the cleaner saved my life!!).
Pour large glass of red and breathe.....
