There must be an easier way to find out who flies where ?

Eg I go to BA and put in a destination and have to go through steps for it to not very clearly say no flights available when I went to the route checker again I put details on and have to go through steps to be told no.

I'm looking for BA to Strasbourg. Surely there must be easier ways to find this out

A basic search on Expedia suggests that BA does not offer direct flights to strasbourg but your departure airport will play a part

Doncarlos · 06/08/2025 11:36

FFS. I'm assuming because I named a specific online booking system my answer was hidden.

But basically, try looking on a flight comparison company. Select your depature airport and click direct flights only. You'll get shown what airlines operate with those flights (if at all)

Skyscanner?

Skyscanner?

This! Skyscanner tells you which airlines fly to any particular airport and the route.

I have never used ChatGPT or anything similar until last night, and it was for this very reason. YANBU

MagpiePi · 06/08/2025 11:38

I've just googled and found FlightConnections.com which shows a map of all the destinations from any airport in the world.

Chersfrozenface · 06/08/2025 11:43

I often use Kayak - kayak.co.uk

I put into its search "From All London" and "To Strasbourg", one way, Saturday 6th September and 3 days either side. It came up with two Easyjet flights from Gatwick on 4th and 7th September

1diamondearing · 06/08/2025 11:44

google maps?

samplesalequeen · 06/08/2025 11:44

Does it absolutely have to be BA?

Doncarlos · 06/08/2025 11:46

So bizarre how I mentioned another website and my reply was instantly blocked, but you're all able to mention those sites.

Edit to add, now I look insane as my first reply is showing.

Chersfrozenface · 06/08/2025 11:49

Also Strasbourg Airport has a destination map and list https://www.strasbourg.aeroport.fr/en/passengers/to-travel/destination-map/

It lists London Gatwick. If you put Gatwick into the airport's (French) search facility, the only flights are Easyjet on Thursday and Sunday.

KrisAkabusi · 06/08/2025 11:50

flights dot google dot com.

Gives you airport options, cheapest days to fly, etc.

Amazing thanks everyone.

Skyscanner.net pretty much does exactly this.

Iamalltheyhavenow · 06/08/2025 15:46

I had this issue last year, and didn't want to fly from Gatwick. There are BA flights from Heathrow to Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg which I used. There is a shuttle bus to nearby St Louis station, then a train to Strasbourg. Sounds like a but of a faff, but was quite straightforward for me as a 60+ solo traveller.

Clementina49er · 06/08/2025 19:13

I use Rome2Rio: you can find out how to get from anywhere in the world to anywhere else. It gves you a map and then a list of itineraries and options : planes, boats, trains, coaches.... and a vague idea of the price.

Itcantbetrue · 08/08/2025 16:29

@Iamalltheyhavenow that's wonderful thank you ❤️‍🩹
