Hi
I will try to explain this the best I can.
we were at a family festival this weekend with friends and our children who have physical disabilities.
during headline acts in general area there is a rule that no one really follows with is trolleys are to be kept at back and not in the crowds by 6pm due to large volume of people.
the access area ( which was very small for the amount of people they sold access tickets to ) was very busy and has 2 sections, a viewpoint platform and a standing section. The area was at the side of general about midway down. It had its own entrance / exit that went on the main path for for food vendors and exits from the festival.
the standing accessibility was sepearared from the general by a barricade.
after the main act started at around 9.30 pm there was a family further up who tried to jump the barricade in to accessibility to use the exit but was stopped by workers. A short while after where our kids were attached to machines the family appeared and tried to jump it there with a trolley cart and 2-3 kids this was to use the exit of accessible because they couldn’t get their troller radio off our the crowd.
I refused to move our kids and stood there and did not let the man do it. My worry was that others had trolleys and they were watching and if he had got them all over others would also attempt it and it would become dangerous as it was a small area filled with disabled children. He lost his cool at me after I explained that the kids couldn’t be moved and it was dangerous ans to walk around like everyone else. He shouted “ well I have kids too “ then called me inconsiderate and got quite mad.
was I the Inconsiderate one ?
