Does anyone work at Amazon Warehouse near Manchester Airport???

My DS18 has got temp agency work here starting tomorrow. We live in Greater Manchester so he accepted it even though he doesn’t drive, but it’s nearly a 2 hour commute!! Is there an easy way to get from the airport train station to Amazon. There’s a bus followed by a 15 minute walk which looks like a pain. Is it easy to get a taxi outside the train station?

He presumed he would be able to get there in an hour or less on public transport, but unfortunately that’s not the case…

Take a bike on the train?

There is a taxi rank outside the station.

I live near there and I’ve seen a shuttle bus to the Amazon site but I’ve no idea where it goes to/from. Worth investigating though.

I live in another city and there's a shuttle bus so this must be a thing for them, you see the sign in the city centre saying Amazon shuttle to <name of warehouse a few miles outside the city on an industrial park next to the motorway where public transport doesn't go> and people in Amazon fleeces queuing up for a bus.

I’ve been trying to find out if there’s a shuttle bus but can’t find anything online. Another company called the Hut on the same estate runs a shuttle bus from the train station, but I suppose you would have to work for them to get on it. I will get him to ask around about this tomorrow. I think I will drive him there for his first day so I’m not worrying and he can get his bearings, but I won’t be able to do it after that.

There’s definitely an Amazon shuttle bus from the airport train station - there’s signs everywhere. No idea of where / when / how it runs though.
