My ds started getting spots on his back on Wednesday on Friday the spots looked like the first picture, it’s now Sunday and they have all faded, he had a high fever Tuesday evening and Wednesday but fevers gone now had a few spots pop up on his chest legs and arms but they are tiny and aren’t filled with fluid

It doesn’t look like it to me. More likely to be something viral given his fever. My daughter had things like this a few times and the GP just always said “oh it’s viral”

That said, she did have a rash similar to this about two weeks before she developed chicken pox, but I think that was just coincidence!

Does he have swollen glands on his neck? That was the other thing we noticed pre-chickenpox.

GamerxDucky · 03/08/2025 15:44

No swollen glands in his neck, fevers completely gone now we’ve got new spots appearing on his privates and some on his face, he’s had scarlet fever last year that we thought were pox 🤣

Following with interest as we think our youngest has chickenpox but the spots are totally different to my eldest. Hers were huge fluid filled things. These are tiny but do look like fluid inside. He's also absolutely fine with zero temp or illness. But he's covered

Could be hand foot and mouth if on face and privates

That’s what his looked like and then they faded hoping it is pox so he can have it over and done with 🤣

It’s only 2 spots on his face and 3 on his privates none on hands or feet

I would say no as my youngest has them at the moment and the newer ones are starting out as bright red spots rather than a rash

Custarddonught · 03/08/2025 15:58

This was day 1 and they had filled with fluid with about 12 hours
