To think cheating is often less about sex and more about boredom with themselves?

Cheating gets blamed on lack of sex or attraction. But I think a lot of it is people running from their own boredom and emptiness. It’s not their partner they’re escaping, it’s themselves.

I think it is a bit more complicated than that, but yes, there is an element of running away from or avoiding the dissatisfaction in their lives and/or relationship.
