I’ve never been. 8 year old is pretty tough and handled Jurassic park rebirth this weekend. Will it be ok?

I've been at 12 and 16. Found it scarier at 16 than at 12 😅

No when we went some numpties turned up with their toddler 🙄

No when we went some numpties turned up with their toddler 🙄

Years ago at Flambards, a family planted their toddler next to the left bag cubbyholes and all merrily got on the rollercoaster and just left him there. He began to cry, obviously. Was horrified. Asked the ride supervisor, “what the hell, are you ok with that?” His response “”it’s not my job to judge people’s morals”.

I sincerely hope it’s different now.

I've googled it and it says the 'recommended minimum age' is 12. Children aged 5 or over ARE admitted (if accompanied by an adult) but obviously they don't think it's suitable for kids under 12.

I was really annoyed when we went a few years ago with a 9 year old who looked a lot younger. We asked if it was ok for kids and were told yes, and it did say in writing somewhere that it was ok if accompanied by an adult but they really should have some kind of warning about it I think.

My child isnt "wimpy" by any means but we had to leave half way through (I believe some kind of blood dripping pig zombie jumped out in front of us and that was the last straw)

No partial refund or anything, no warnings, not even an 'its ok but some children may find it terrifying"

Left feeling ripped off, wasted time could have spent somewhere good, and with a terrified child!

God no. It’s awful! I’m a wuss though. Hated every minute of it. Claustrophobic and smelly and no visible escape (though obviously there are, somewhere!).
I panicked in the mirrored room. Think we were locked in there for longer than usual as the group in front were dawdling. I ended up grabbing a random American blokes hand during the witch trial one 😆
My kids (older teens) adored it. Make of that what you will!

@Sometimeswinning Yes. Totally rubbish throwaway line - the important historical topic of the plague relates to the London Dungeon! Bizarre.

I took my much younger sister when she was 14. She was terrified!

You’re welcome for that get out clause 😂 Next time you start a debate be prepared. Not sure how a deadly illness trumps a serial killer. Both are a little fascinating don’t you think??

I went at 8 and my mum had to take me out after 2 minutes, wasn’t happy about the value for money 😂

We did the same at York dungeons many yrs ago. There was a sign saying 'no money back after this door'. Our DS was maybe 10, we got into the next room and that was it!! Personally I was quite pleased because I hate stuff like that but had gone in as DS wanted to!

TrixieFatell · 02/08/2025 23:58

We went to another city where they had their version of the dungeon. My 9 year old wanted to go in and I said no, only to be reminded by my elder two they did the London one at similar ages. So we went in and they loved it. My kids like spookier stuff though, they grew up on Tim Burton and loved the Goosebumps.stuff. I'm the wuss of the family and easily scared. When we did the London one I refused to open my eyes for the Jack the Ripper when I could sense he was right in front of me, something I still get mocked for now.

You know your child and what they would be scared by. Mine all knew it was actors and not real (they had to remind me several times)

I’m sure the people who keep mentioning Zombies must be thinking of somewhere else as it doesn’t really fit with London Dungeons.
