is it really just me? She’s 23 and thinks I’m very unreasonable and no one else’s Mom would care. I think they’re vile when visible. It’s making what is private, personal. It’s huge. @Rokuandice YANBU def not! Urgh - I’m getting creeped out right now as my recent ex once we got together (me 48 and him 52), was giving me love bites on my neck. I had to ask him several times not to before he’d stop.

Interestingly after that, he completely lost interest in my neck which I thought a bit odd as a bit of gentle attention I actually liked. Anyway a year on I found myself in a relationship with a very controlling, jealous and paranoid man which I eventually had to walk away from.

In hindsight, I’m pretty certain he was ‘marking’ me as his by deliberately leaving these marks. Can find no other explanation for it which is why I personally now would view anyone persistently leaving them a a potential red flag - especially so after the age of 50!
