we came across the list below while my 12year old was looking for bucket list inspiration 😅

we counted 79 and my age 12 DD has done 53. I think there’s a lot NOT on the list to be honest and it’s quite American maybe… but fun all the same

DS10 has completed 47.

how many have yours done and what age? I wonder is there a more European based list?

The National truste list is better.

Is this the “50 things to do before you're 11¾” list?

I can't read it - even on a laptop.

CornOfCopia · 31/07/2025 17:03

DS12 has done 41
DD9 has done 44 (same as DS plus she can knit, sew and has had a spa party.

It's very American though - we've never been there - and very privileged (Disneyland, safari in Africa, etc).

Ah that’s a shame 😢

The image is unreadable. Too blurry.

DongDingBell · 31/07/2025 17:10

Have you got a clearer copy? Or a web link? I agree its very blury.

gotellsomeone · 31/07/2025 17:16

I can read it very clearly but it’s very American, I don’t plan on my kids going to vacation bible school or touring the White House

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy · 31/07/2025 17:24

Vacation Bible School? 😱

Vacation Bible School? 😱

Funnily enough I have cousins who went to bible camp…and we’re not American 🤣

I don’t have kids but I had done quite a few of these by about 11.
What bothers me about the list is that quite a lot of the activities are quite expensive and beyond the reach of some parents - even if you’re living in the USA. Flights, Disney…..

Naomival · 31/07/2025 17:43

I counted what my DD has Not done and got to 20!

MargaretThursday · 31/07/2025 17:52

I can't read it either.

But when ds was 13yo he had his appendix out, and afterwards he announced he could cross two things off his bucket list:
Being on a drip
Going in a wheelchair

I haven't dared asked him what else is on there.

MsNevermore · 31/07/2025 17:52

My kids have done 36 of those things….but we do live in the US now.
If we’d have stayed in the U.K., our list would probably be half of what they’ve done.
