Leave me alone

I walk into DH office and he is sitting there wearing a hoodie. I ask him, 'why are you wearing a hoodie?' He replies, 'Because its cold'. I then notice, he has a cooling fan on at full pelt, so I ask him why does he have the fan on if he's cold? He shakes his head as if I have asked him the stupidest question in the work and he asks me to leave because I am disturbing him.

But isn't it odd to wear something because your cold and then have the fan on at the same time?

He is now ill with a cold.

bugger all to do with this non event

leave him be, we each do as we please when it comes to temperatures

marriage sounds shite anyway

Ademasstudio · 31/07/2025 15:08

good for him. I’d have done the same

DontTouchRoach · 31/07/2025 15:46

You don't catch a cold from using a fan, ffs.

Also, I'd have said a lot worse than 'leave me alone' if someone had come into my office and started critiquing what I was wearing for no reason when I was trying to work. That kind of behaviour is so nitpicky, patronising and irritating, especially when someone's working.

Hollowvoice · 31/07/2025 16:39

If he was starting a cold his temp might have been all over the place so the combo of fan and hoodie could have been helping him feel comfortable.
But why on earth would you interrupt him working to criticise his outfit?

arethereanyleftatall · 31/07/2025 16:50

Yabu.
very clearly he already had a cold, and was just doing whatever he could to feel the best he could.
you should apologise.

😄😄 I have to be honest

I'm in bed now, nude (not trying to entice anybody, just stating facts 🙈) on top of the electric blanket, under the duvet with the industrial fan on

Its perfection

Completely get his thinking process, much as i hate to agree with a man

SpacedOutOut · 31/07/2025 20:25

Yeah in the winter I’m in fleece pjs with the thickest quilt possible and weighted blanket ontop….with the window open! 😂

I’m a man-hating feminazi and I agree.

Leave the poor man alone OP.

ToKittyornottoKitty · 31/07/2025 20:29

Leave him alone OP, why do you need to question how he makes himself comfortable in his own office? Also it’s pretty obvious he was probably already unwell, and that’s likely why the hoody and the fan.

I never close the bedroom window at night unless it's in danger of being ripped off by the wind.

Can't sleep in a stuffy room.

doubleornothing · 31/07/2025 20:34

He's regulating his temperature and trying to work while feeling ill, just leave him to it.

autienotnaughty · 31/07/2025 21:37

He wanted the air to circulate and to feel cosy?

Same! Why do you care that he's wearing a hoodie?

RigIt · 02/08/2025 18:56

I don’t understand why you questioned him wearing a hoodie? What’s wrong with working while wearing a hoodie. I always wore one when working from home. They are comfy.

marshmallowfinder · 02/08/2025 19:03

Yabu to write your, when you're is meant. (You are.) They mean completely different things.

It's a bit weird of him, yes, but I guess he knows how to regulate his own temperature.
