To dream of owning an online shop and do well?

I have been thinking about this for a while.
It would be a small selection of curated items from artesans across Europe (homeware and accessories mainly).
I have a very specific taste and never seem to be able to find an online shop that has it all. I would start off small with a low investment and a limited selection of items and I do have a FT corporate job so not thinking of making a living out of it. But, I wouldn’t want to waste money and make a loss.
AIBU to think this is still a viable business project?

I have no idea if it would be viable or not. Would you sell on Amazon, eBay or another platforms as well as your website? Since you already have a job, why don't you start ot and begin marking etc and see how it goes? Treat it as a 'hobby' for a period and then reassess how much more money and time you want to put I to it after a year. I'm case it doesn't work out, do you know any local businesses markets that you could sell on your stock to?
