Basically as DP is godfather to his best friends twins DP repaid the gesture with out DS.
The thing is his best friend dosent like me as in the past when we have had issues DP has told him and now he has this negative opinion of me.
When I had DS I had severe complications which required surgery (only with me thankfully) and it caused me to worry about DS and any little thing with DS warranted a trip to the GP’s which is his best friend was highly critical of.
When we moved to a house DP hired him to put the scotia in just one living room and he wanted us to pay him £180!
He did a crap job and it come of exposing nails in the process and we paid him £100 to do this.
OH picked him up, brought him lunch, he had no expense just his time in which he was only here for 40 minutes.
In the past when this man was homeless living in hostels and sleeping on my couch I asked him for nothing but helped him from the goodness of my heart and I wasn’t expecting him to to the job for free but £150 is a lot of money.
I told OH I wouldn’t be making no effort again after this and when we wanted our patio doing he was keen to secure the job and want to charge us £700 for 8 slabs.
The last job he did was crap.
And he over charged.
AIBU to say no as OH thinks I’m being mean and says I hold grudges.
