Yes, I’d read her story before. Her actions were amazingly brave and selfless, and undoubtedly saved many lives. Very quick-thinking, and courageous, and I doubt many people would have been able to react so well. Thank you for the reminder OP, I’m going to re-read this story.

That Wiki entry, if accurate, says a 7-year-old on the flight was inspired to become a pilot because of her. Which is lovely. As is the bravery award founded by her family.

I hadn't heard, and I must say I'm surprised she isn't much better known. Without wanting to sound crass, you would think her story should have cried out for a blockbuster film to be made with major Hollywood stars, a bit like Miracle on the Hudson or Captain Phillips. Unfortunately it's only too easy to work out the reason why it hasn't.
