Desogestrel experiences

So I started desogestrel in Feb (8 weeks post partum) and had a normal period that month. I then had nothing, another period in April and then some brown spotting now and then, but the beginning of this month I had constant brown spotting which the GP said it can take 6 months to settle and to give more time before possibly coming off and changing pills. I’ve now had a (light!) period for the last two weeks. A couple of heavier days but nowhere near as heavy as a normal pre-pill period. Contacted the GP for other advice as it’s beginning to annoy me, plus I feel v hormonal! She’s seeing me on Wednesday..
Just wondered if anyone else had similar experiences?
I have been on this pill before - 8 years ago after my son was born - then came off it a couple years later - had a two week period then they stopped apart from a random one now and then!

Personally, when I started it about 8 years ago, I had some side effects. Particularly mood related, feeling quite low. I had mild to spotty periods.
I noticed that changing brand helped. Then I stopped it, got pregnant and started it again about 1 year after pregnancy. That time I got Cerazette e virtually no side effects of any sort.
