Hard to tell from that picture. It normally starts on the torso, but not always especially if it is mild. You will soon find out as they will wake up with more spots!

Iloveeverycat · 27/07/2025 19:23

It could be. Mine always had first spot on their face then they suddenly start getting more quite quickly.

Rosieposy89 · 27/07/2025 19:24

Yes. My dd got her first on her face

Flamingoknees · 27/07/2025 19:25

Hard to tell - does it look blisterish?

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 27/07/2025 19:28

Quite possibly. You should know for certain in the morning! Has she been off the last couple of days? It generally starts with fluey symptoms before the spots start.

Pin129 · 27/07/2025 19:30

Thank you. Will keep an eye. She’s been ok in herself the last couple of days, felt a bit warm last night. Not completely off her food but maybe not eaten as much. But overall ok

Like others have said, you’ll probably know for sure in the morning! How is she in herself? The day before dd’s spots came out she was very miserable and grumpy.

Pin129 · 27/07/2025 23:27

Hi,
this one has appeared on the forehead. But no where else so far?

If it's going around her class, very possible. In my experience it does start on the torso. After the first spot appears, you'll know within a few hours as more will pop up fairly quickly. Any blisters on top? Unless you see blisters on top, you can't be sure.

Thank you. this might be a clearer photo. There is definitely none on her back or torso as of yet

It has been around 7 hours since I noticed them and I have seen no new spots since, apart from the forehead one which I noticed around 7pm. But it may have been there before, hidden by fringe.

I think it looks like chickenpox.

CharlotteFlax · 28/07/2025 01:23

I think it looks like chickenpox too

pushthebuttonnn · 28/07/2025 04:22

I would think it is yes
My ds got one on his forehead first. If so I hope it's a mild dose for your dd .

Pin129 · 28/07/2025 12:20

Thank you everyone for your replies. It definitely is! Awful timing as it’s her birthday this week. Some more have come out but she hasn’t got loads at the moment.
Hoping it will stay mild.

most are blistered filled at the moment. She’s not too bad in herself for now 🤞

Looks like it but could stay very mild - hopefully!

It does sound like bad timing for her, poor thing
