Undiagnosed Medical Condition my Arse

No, not a medical condition on my arse.

Yesterday I had to phone up to make an amendment to our travel insurance.
While talking to the young man I happened to sneeze.

Oh dear, says he, how are you?
A bit sniffly this morning I reply. With my luck I’ll be coming down with a cold.

Later on in the conversation he asks if I’ve been to see a doctor about my condition, so I ask what condition, I don’t have any condition. He replies that I said I thought was coming down with something, and insisted, despite my saying it was just a casual remark about a simple sniffle.

He subsequently entered on my record that I have an undiagnosed medical condition, which I’m pretty sure would be a get out of jail free card for them if I was taken ill on holiday.

So I’ve cancelled the policy and am looking elsewhere.

Am I being unreasonable to be utterly pissed off at some snotty little jobsworth forcing me to waste more of my valuable time searching for new insurance?

Not a sneeze or sniffle since btw

Bloody hell. Scandalous. A word I seem to be using a lot at the moment.

Yanbu

We have our insurance through a bank acc. It covers us and our kids and they “don’t want to know” about medical history or even the kids’ names. We’ve never had to claim but they have repeated this multiple times when I’ve asked.
