To think it’s not funny to teach 4 year old swear words etc

Friends of mine have a four year old and in loads of photos she’s sticking her middle finger up, with them all doing it. They think it’s hilarious. And she swears sometimes and they like to post videos of it on social media. Maybe I’m dull but I wouldn’t encourage my little one to do that or is this normal now and I need to get a grip? I obviously haven’t said this to them as it’s none of my business and other than that are great parents and lovely people. Me and my partner were talking about it and he thinks it’s fine but I don’t. lol!

It’s cringe, depressing and extremely poor parenting

They are not great parents or lovely people if they are teaching a 4 year old to act that way.

It's not funny, they are teaching her to act like trash and when she is treated as trash they'll be surprised.
What they won't be teaching her is when it may be or may not be appropriate to do that sort of thing.

other than that are great parents and lovely people.

They are not great parents and they sound plain stupid and lacking intelligence.

Yes, 100%.

Also the ones who get their little girls to twerk and take pictures in 'adult' poses. It's not funny at all.

Brendahollowayreconsider · 24/07/2025 22:44

And if the child is doing that whilst starting school playdates will be in short supply.
Really not fair on the child teaching them crap like that.

Agree, it’s just awful and depressing, terrible parenting.
