Trying to remember the name of a children’s book

I can visualise the artwork and the premise of the story.
it was in my local library in the very early 1980s.

it was about a girl who acquired a pet rhinoceros and kept it until she was a very old lady and they used to be seen walking together around the neighbourhood.

I thought it was Sophie’s Rhino or something but I cannot find any mention of it online. Help me please!!

There is a book called ‘Diana and her Rhinoceros’ published 1983. Haven’t checked the synopsis but added a screenshot of it on Abe books. (Image might take a while )

Out of interest I googled books about a girl and a rhino, who knew there were multiple ones 😁
Your one must be rare as its the most expensive of the ones that come up first for me
