Changing DD’s nursery in September. How does this work in regards to the funding?

Hi,

Posting on AIBU for traffic.

So my DD (20 months) will be going to a new nursery as of September and I just wanted to know how will it work in terms of the funding we are entitled to (for working parents)?

I have the code, not sure how the new nursery will redeem it if the old nursery already have?

Thanks

The old nursery can't use it for September if you are not there.
Have you already completed a funding form for the old place to claim it?

They won't have made thier claim to the council yet, and your dc won't be there in the headcount window so they can't claim it.

@Stopthatknocking So do I just give notice to the old nursery (need to give 28 days) and give the new code to the new nursery or will there be an overlap in terms of the usage of the old code?

The code shows that you are entitled to the funding.
The nursery must give you a form to fill in the allow them to claim the money from the council.
This form is done termly.
So if you did it for the summer term at your current place, you will just do a new one at your new place for September.
The old nursery can't claim for September without you completing the form for them.
