Going away the weekend, high bikini wax booked in for tomorrow morning and of course, I came on yesterday. Is it going to be torture ?! I mean it’s always painful anyway, but is it ridiculously painful?
So annoying as I don’t use tampons either and now I need to go and buy some just for this !
Aibu? Should I just leave it ?!

please ignore this advice. Shaving down there? No way. Use hair removal cream if you can't go to the appointment.

Shaving is fine for many, fewer downsides to using creams or bothering with waxing. If you just want to tidy up the strays before a swim then a quick shave is totally fine. People are generally not gazing too much at other people's crotches.

I mean i have tidied up my bikini line with a lady shave for 30odd years with no issues at all, and imo much safer than putting chemicals on my skin that you are "advising".

Surely there would be a smell of sorts 🤢 PP said she wouldn't do this.

If you have showered and changed your tampon/mooncup, and have laundered underwear and you still smell, you might need to see someone about that.

An intimate waxer of women either needs to be comfortable with the reality of menstruation, or deal with a lot of cancellations. It's normal, either tuck the string out of the way or use a moon cup, no need to mention it, it's not a thing. If you find someone that uses Lycon wax OP you might find that is a lot less uncomfortable, and persuades you go to more regularly so it will be even less uncomfortable, glad it went ok!
