All Bran new recipe not as good as the old

Kellogg’s changed the All Bran recipe and the texture is different. The old version used to go soggy after a few minutes in milk and I liked it! Now it seems to stay harder and crunchier. It’s not the All Bran I knew and loved! Anyone else agree? AIBU?
Yes: It’s an improvement
No: It’s not as good as old recipe

Could you try the Asda own brand version and see if its any good?

cornflakecrunchie · 20/07/2025 12:49

@Looploop Totally agree, it's awful.
Hard sticks that don't go nicely soggy, & an odd taste of the obviously cheaper cornflakes that they've sneakily shoved in there.
My youngest didn't believe me, tried it for himself, & he hated it too. It's going in the bin.
I'll try some wholefoods type shop for organic ones, & hope they're like the old version.

Btw @dementedpixie I looked at all the supermarket brands & the reviews are awful for those, too. :-(

Looploop · 20/07/2025 13:26

I might try the supermarket own brands. It’s not the All Bran of old. Shame on Kelloggs!

It is definitely NOT an improvement, it looks, tastes and feels like the cheaper supermarket versions. So I will not be paying for the more expensive Kellogg's All Bran from now on. Very disappointed with Kellogg's for changing a well loved recipe, and for what reason I ask.🤔

I’ve given up All Bran now. Can’t stand the new stuff.

I eat All Bran every day of my life and this is no joke for me. I'm genuinely upset about it, and hoping that they change back when nobody buys their vile hamster food.

I managed to score eight boxes of original All Bran on Amazon but they're no longer allowing orders of more than one box.

Looploop · 24/09/2025 09:04

We are all thoroughly branned off. The new stuff lacks moral fibre. A rough life for those of us who need roughage. I couldn’t give a fig for Kellogg’s!

I really like it. I usually buy supermarket own but bought some Kellogs and think it's nicer. I like the fact that it stays hard.

TheGrimSmile · 24/09/2025 09:10

The sainsburys own is more crumbly and soft if that's what you like? Also Morrisons.

No no no
