I am on long term sick leave and housebound 95% of the time.

burneraccount15 · 16/07/2025 13:02

A parent has terminal cancer.

Mikart · 16/07/2025 13:03

Whether to go nc with db

MidnightPatrol · 16/07/2025 13:05

I have a very stressful full time job, commute, have to travel quite a bit, a toddler, and am pregnant.

I have approximately zero down time, hobbies or interests, or opportunities to exercise. Oh and the toddler is in the stopping their nap phase so goes to sleep about the same time as me.

Its a lot.

Jellycatspyjamas · 16/07/2025 13:05

My dog has a tummy bug and has literally shat his way through the house.

ForgottenPasswordNewAccount · 16/07/2025 13:05

Garage told us, not point in repairing the car not eccomically viable and if it was theirs, they would get rid of it.

So sorry to hear this

Stage 4 cancer, advanced osteoarthritis, severe degenerative disc disease, worry about my cat’s health, worry about disability benefits, worry about the world and all the horrible people running it into the ground and ruining humanity.

Apart from that I’m fine.

Squirrelsnut · 16/07/2025 13:08

My anxious and lonely DC.

MuggleMe · 16/07/2025 13:08

SEN daughter not coping at mainstream but doesn't meet threshold for special needs.

How stressful 😣

First world problems really, but my job is exhausting and is affecting my health and I cannot see how I can sustain it for much longer.

Trying to work up the energy to plan a sensible exit and find something that won’t be too much of a pay cut fr fewer hours/stress, but it’s not going to be easy.

Thepeopleversuswork · 16/07/2025 13:13

Hating my job, trying to figure out a better and healthier way to live for whatever remaining working years I have which doesn't crucify my mental health. As a PP said, a relatively first world problem but stressful and unpleasant for now.

IslandsAround · 16/07/2025 13:14

Parent died, chronically ill child getting more poorly after long hosiptalisation, care at home plan means we’ve had to give up work and are being pushed into poverty. Relationship under pressure.

Mehjustmeh · 16/07/2025 13:18

Heartbreaking to hear what some people are currently facing.

We're in the middle of the conveyancing process which is stressful.

However the main thing is the continuous fight with the LEA to get DS moved to a specialist unit as he struggles in mainstream even with a full time 121.

foxglove9 · 16/07/2025 13:18

My autistic 25 year old son has just been diagnosed as type 1 diabetic , currently in hospital in dka , an unpredictable difficult to manage chronic condition is unfortunately going to make life a whole lot harder for someone who already struggles with routine change

Mirrorxxx · 16/07/2025 13:18

My grandad is terminally ill.

Hedjwitch · 16/07/2025 13:20

DH's poor health and fighting for disability payments. Managing on one income. Not being able to afford to retire.

Smellisande · 16/07/2025 13:20

Marriage of 30 years breaking up. Can barely function. DD with an invisible disability which flares up ever so often, like now. Lovely mum getting old and frail

Really thought I would be reaping some rewards by now.

MaMisled · 16/07/2025 13:24

My much loved brother, age 67, is an alcoholic with liver disease. He just came home after 11 days on a trauma ward with 6 broken ribs and related respiratory problems. He is home, obviously without the regional anaesthesia and intravenous opioids that helped so much. He is now drinking terrible amounts alongside the very strong pain relief he came home with. Its breaking my heart.

FloydWasACat · 16/07/2025 13:25

Dh became quaraplegic 4 years ago, can't move, can't eat without help, bowel care every morning, carers in our house 13 hours a day. Two kids, 9 and 15. I am exhausted

holachicatita · 16/07/2025 13:25

Was going to type that my biggest worry right now is the extension we are building. And taking four kids abroad soon and the stress of it all. Now I realise how blessed I am and I really don't have any worries.

Ella31 · 16/07/2025 13:28

Grieving my twin boys. Lost them 20 months ago at birth. I've since had their little sister but trying to navigate this with grief too.

I am exactly in the same boat
