To say that sliced tomatoes have no place on top of a pizza?

They make the cheese watery and dilute the whole flavour of the pizza.

That's very tomatoist of you (or do I mean anti-tomatoist?)

Mozzerella is a weird watery cheese anyway, tomatoes will make no difference.

You're using the wrong tomatoes.

I love tomatoes, just not undercooked slices on a pizza.

I've realised that what I hate is hot raw tomatoes, so many people don't cook them for long. Like with a cooked breakfast a hot, but uncooked tomato is horrible.

Sundried tomatoes on pizza are fine

Not to mention they get (probably literally) boiling hot, you can't bite the whole way through the slice so it flops off the edge of the pizza and burns your chin. Or maybe that's just me.

I love a thinly sliced tomato on pizza. It does need to be cooked through though

No, you described it perfectly 😂 major chin burn😬

soupyspoon · 14/07/2025 18:42

You have to slice them extremely thinly so that they actually cook and so that you can actually bite into them so that they dont scald your chin

Actually

They have more place than pineapple or chicken tikka!
