our best friends and their daughters have been in canada for a month ( one daughter that lives here in DR 11yr ,one of the daughters 15yr old has been there for the school year, but now home for summer) They were supposed to come on thurs for lunch Cancelled thurs morning, however today I asked what day they want to come. UM. TOMORROW.. for the pool and dinner. I can pull it off but a little pissed off. I told my husband to try to postpone. He does no cooking or prep, but is amazing at telling me after to go relax and he cleans it all up so not a slacker by any means. My husband told me no..he does not want to put it off . He offered to order pizzas. His reasoning is sound. His best friend, while in canada was trying to pay his family health insurance policy and it would not accept from canada..this is almost 700 usd that we paid. My husband said that his friend is bringing that money. He has always been good for money he has borrowed but in drips and drabs. last time this friend borrowed money..he took ages to pay back. My husband just wants the money back in our account. Our friend is not a jerk...just a guy that thinks "don't worry,, it will all work out" I am torn between knowing that he has the cash to give us but if I say no and put off the get together for a few days...maybe he will not have the cash. ugh
