I get the feeling he’d love one. He looked so handy with hair. Being the future King probably precludes him from getting one as it’s seen as trivial etc but I reckon he secretly wants one.

I wonder why more men don’t have hair transplants to be honest. Looking around at all the women who have had work done. I’m not saying anyone should have work done, but everywhere you look women are walking around full of plastic, fake nails, fake hair, lip filler, fake tan, false eyelashes etc etc. yet the men are not doing anything.

Yabu IMO. Any woman who says a man "should" do something about their balding hair, or anything of their natural appearance for that matter, wouldn't like it if a thread of men/people started publicly suggesting that they "should" dye their greys, wax their eyebrows, wear more make up to hide their natural skin etc. In fact, I'm pretty sure they would be beyond livid.

If he wants to he can. If he doesn't, he's doesn't have to. Nor "should" he have to.

Talk about taking a step back from the progression of not having to conform to societal expectations when it comes to appearance.

FFS why? Lots of men lose their hair. It's normal. We need to stop being obsessed with such a narrow range of what it means to look good. We don't have to fixate on what we look like at 25 and try and preserve it for all eternity. He's a 43 year old father of three with a pretty full on job and a wife who's only recently recovered from cancer. He's doing fine, who gives a shit about his hair.

Methinks the answer is in fact that the ladies don't need to bother with the fake hair and the lip filler. I overheard DH and 3 other blokes discussing this the other day. They are all late thirties.... all thought the filled lips etc look was a bit nasty

Because if you have one done, you then need to take finasteride for life. With the risk of major side effects. Otherwise, you're back at square one within a few years...its not just as simple as transplanted some hair follicles and job done for life.

If I were him, I'd shave the sides very short, and keep the facial hair. But I'm not. I think he looks great as is anyway. And an excellent example for younger males that baldness can be embraced. More power to him I say.

If you are going to get a hair transplant, it's like colouring your hair - you have to do it before it becomes obvious that's what you've done.
Also William is the heir apparent to the throne of a first world nation, I don't really think he needs to enhance his attractiveness.

No. He’s an excellent poster boy for men who would no more go to Turkey on a vanity project than fly to the moon and, similarly, would not shave all their hair off like a nightclub bouncer.

Genetic pattern hair loss affects so many men and women and I love that he accepts his fate with grace.

You are assuming men hate being bald… my ex husband looked better without hair than with… he hated his hair.

I think this is what is wrong with society today… people going off and having procedures done.

what is it with people wanting teeth that makes snow look yellow? It’s ridiculous… hair implants, boob, bum…. It’s ridiculous … and don’t even get me started on the awful fake tans and eye lashes women feel the need to have these days!
