… to hate my tits? Well, specifically my left one? ( in response to another thread called What is your favourite feature?)

So I have an inverted nipple. No big deal, many women do. And when it’s cold or ‘excited’ I can wiggle it around so it pops out where it should be. However, I also have some kind of birthmark exactly ON the nipple. So when I’m just warm it looks horribly different to the other. It’s kind of flat and a funny colour. It’s markedly and obviously different to the other. I feel so so self conscious about it if I meet someone new and we end up getting intimate. I try to keep my bra on. If it comes off I try every single manoeuvre possible to keep it hidden, like resting my arm over it, lying in a certain position.. anything at all. Certain positions are out of the question because of it. I find it impossible to relax because I’m just constantly thinking about how hideous it must look and I hate it. Is there such a thing as a nipple transplant!?

Same. Also the left one, weirdly. You can have surgery, but it does prevent you breastfeeding from that side. Mind you, I’m past the age where that’s a worry and I still haven’t bothered.

Oh I’m well past my breast feeding days!! Honestly didn’t think surgery would be an option. Hmmm…🤔

Hold on.. you have the birthmark too? Tbh it’s more like a weird discolouration than a birth mark..

Op I spent a good percentage of my life hating my breasts because my right one is significantly bigger than my left. Also when I was younger I had inverted nipples.
I thought I was a total freak. Until I read somewhere that a lot of woman have different sized breasts. And then read a thread on MN where posters talked about this.
So now I've accepted that there is no right or wrong when it comes to breasts , that there is great variety. Unless of course people go down the route of cosmetic surgery and end up looking as though their breasts are plastic add- ons.

My point is that you might be self conscious about your breasts but honestly they are just part of " you" and I'm sure other people just accept them for what they are and don't see anything wrong with them.

I'm really sorry you feel like that when being intimate with someone. I would hope that anyone who is privileged enough to get to be in bed with you would be mature and sensible enough not to be put off by asymmetrical nipples.
One of the best things anyone every said to me in terms of my body confidence was, ironically enough, from a not very nice man who I dated for a while. I had a roly tummy which I was extremely self conscious about and tried to hide with an arm while we were having sex. He basically told me that if he was there it was because he wanted to be with me, all of me, and me trying to hide it was more likely to make him not want to be there. It actually hammered home to me that the sexiest characteristic is confidence, not a perfect body.
