There is no such place.

TidyingThePantry · 09/07/2025 20:02

Yes. I work for myself Grin

ssd · 09/07/2025 20:03

If you get a job there, can I join too @Fragmentedbrain

Do not touch the NHS.

Being a temporary worker makes it more bearable.

DiscontentedPig · 09/07/2025 20:03

Worked at just such a place from 2014 to 2022. Unfortunately a very large bureaucratic organisation then bought it out and boiled it down for glue.

Go private not public sector but even there you aren’t completely safe.

namechangeGOT · 09/07/2025 20:06

Yes! We have no ‘process maps’, no ‘organogram’, no fixed breaks either times or length, if you want to work from home you just text someone else to tell them so, no dress code, no holidays required for things getting delivered to home, or childcare commitments or hospital appointments and no HR. In the 11 years I have been here HR have never been required because we’re all grown up, everyone gets on, no one takes offence about silly jokes and it’s just an all round fabulous place to work!

Summerhillsquare · 10/07/2025 06:34

Now you have to tell us where @namechangeGOT😁

My place is just drowning in it, I cannot be arsed at all

I work for a reactive maintenance company! We have about 100 engineers going round the UK fixing things in certain shops you will have ALL been in and I’m the office manager! I came from a very regimented workplace before I came here and for the first year or so it was like I had been institutionalised! The easy laid back ‘get your job done, have a laugh while you’re doing it and then go home’ atmosphere took some getting used to!
