Maybe they aren’t great at acting, maybe you love them for nostalgic reasons or because they seem like a great person IRL!

I’ve got a soft spot for The Hairy Bikers, they are just so gentle and lovely. I was sad when Dave passed away.

Agree with The Hairy Bikers.

I love the"teddy bear ladies" from The Repair Shop - Amanda and Julie. They just seem so lovely. The way they talk to the teddies as they're repairing them. Please nobody disillusion me 😅.

Andi Oliver (Great British Menu presenter). She's always sold upbeat and just something seems kind.

Dani Harmer (played Tracy Beaker). She comes across as really down to earth and lovely.

If we're talking weird crushes, then also Bob Mortimer, but also Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton too.

Tom Cruise

zaxxon · 08/07/2025 10:55

Bradley Wiggins

Sally Phillips (my BFF, she just doesn't know it yet)

Joe Thomas (Simon Inbetweeners) - seems like he could be difficult but I did warm to him on Taskmaster

Peter Capaldi

Bluevelvetsofa · 08/07/2025 11:06

Rylan and Rob Rinder.

Helena Bonham Carter... she's just beautiful and bonkers in equal measures.

Catsandcannedbeans · 08/07/2025 11:22

Richard Hammond. Apparently I once walked in when I was about 5 and he was on the TV and I walked up to it, gasped, touched the screen and said “wow”. My dad was just happy I would watch Top Gear with him.

The one that surprises me the most is Jane McDonald 🫣. She just seems to embrace the naffness that surrounds her and I respect that.

I love her. Can no longer meet her mum Queen Jean but would quite happily sit in her conservatory to have a cup of tea with her and Sue Ravey.

What is it about him? He makes me laugh.

This is a bit niche..but Luke toki
(Australian reality star, been on survivor, traitors, big brother)
I watched him on survivor in particular and every time he appeared on screen he made me smile...I randomly say 'yeah boyeeee" now and then...😀

I love Luke too, just been rewatching a couple of Survivor series. He’s such a nice guy even though mad as a hatter!

My other is Yungblud. He seems such a genuinely nice guy, the way he interacts with his fans, starting his own festival (Bludfest) so people can go to enjoy a festival at very reasonable cost.

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 08/07/2025 11:32

Richard Osman - love his podcast with Marina Hyde
Alex Jones from The One Show - seems really warm

Rylan and Nicole Sherzinger. Originally fell for them when watching X factor with DD and they are so life enhancing, always bring the joy.

A friend of mine has worked with both separately. Both absolute sweethearts, really generous as well!

Totally laps up the cheese !!! 🧀

mrlistersgelfbride · 08/07/2025 11:37

Gary Linekar. I will mentally stand by that man through anything 😆

Greg Davis, he’s sexy and hilarious.

Karl Pilkington.

Female wise, Victoria Beckham. She got loads of stick for being the most miserable and least talented Spice Girl . But she’s funny and seems surprisingly down to earth.

Hannah Fry. I think she just has a lovely way about her, her enthusiasm is very endearing.

Edited

I had the pleasure of working with her once (actually a few times). I was the only (very young) woman in the room, alone with some very high profile men in the world of maths and science (Roger Penrose for one!). When she walked in, she ignored all the men and walked straight over to me to introduce herself. I was a nobody, really, but I’ll never ignore that beautiful and powerful act of microfeminism that reminded me that in a room full of important men, l still mattered and I shouldn’t shrink myself. I’ll remember it forever!

I LOVE Big Zuu, was flicking around the Glastonbury streams and heard his voice…he was with his cousin AJ Tracey and I watched more of the set because of him. Love him on a podcast too, seems to be a really lovely guy with a generous personality.

Was intrigued by mentions of big zuu and aj Tracey as I've been impressed by ai tracey in the past, so just watched a clip of them trying the world's most expensive pizza. AJ asked for them to do it without the foie gras. Confirmed goodie!

Andi Oliver was an awful mum to Miquita, also happily didn't pay her staff, but somehow has managed to cling on to her BBC job. There's a lot out there about her and it isn't all positive.
