To be so proud that our County voted the first ever goat into the final of the Nose of Tralee

A competition always dominated by dogs and cats. This year the first ever goat has been voted by a County into the final. The County is, of course, County Clare. This follows on from the County electing the first ever Catholic to the British Parliament before independence, first women elected and the first POC to be elected on a local council.
Another day in a proud history of the County.

Never heard of the Nose of Tralee. Does Daithi host? What's Baaanjo's talent going to be?

No, it's too big a gig for him 😂 In the animal world it's a bigger deal than the Rose of Tralee with prizes and prestige. Traditionally dominated by dogs and a few cats.

They don't have to have a talent but they do a photo shoot for a final judgement on whether they can be a successful 'nose' representative for pets in Ireland.

I think the Nose is ahead of the Rose in that mariteral status is not considered relevant.

That was filmed in Co. Clare in our town, so maybe it was inevitable the breakthrough would be here.

The goat vote was nearly split as there was two goats entered in the County. Fortunately the vote was strong enough to get one through on transfers.

Best thread of the year so far! (In my opinion.) I voted for a little cavalier called Luna (who I think has also got through to the final) but my loyalties are now torn 🤣.
