To think this wasn’t reasonable of her? Woman shouting at me and trying to cause an argument in the streets

Hi,

I parked up in what was quite a narrow bay and I proceeded to get out of my car. I did notice a woman and girl in their car next to me but I checked they weren’t getting out before I opened my door, which they wasn’t. I then closed my door and noticed she was shouting in the car in frustration. I got my little one at the back. They then got out their car and said ‘’make everyone else wait for you then, why don’t you’’ in an aggressive tone. She said her daughter was getting out the car, which wasn’t true as I checked and if she was, our doors would have hit. She then proceeded to scream and shout and ranting and raving. I said I’m not arguing and went into the shop. They also came into the shop afterwards and she gave me the really dirty look and tried to start at me again with a comment so I said ‘’ I was already out my car and getting my daughter out’’. Aibu to think this wasn’t reasonable of her?

I hate parking and then realising some one is sitting in the next, ever since some nutter starting ranting at me because she wanted the space next to her to be left empty.

Awful behaviour on her part. Even if her daughter was trying to get out of the car, that is absolutely no justification for having a go at you. Try not to let it play on your mind, you’ve done nothing wrong.

Should’ve taken longer to get your child out, made the lunatic wait.

And if her car was still there when you left, you should’ve hit your door on her paintwork, by accident or course. 😈

Well don’t comment then. Not so trivial that you didn’t feel the need to get you oar in.

I thought Gurgletum was actually being supportive and reassuring OP that it’s not worth worrying about.
