Went to a supermarket today and DC did a timely poop in the trolley. No big deal, went to change him. There was a baby change, regular loos and two accessible toilets. I look on the lock on the baby change, it was green, so I open the door to awkwardly see a lady pull up from the toilet seat, her (husband, maybe carer) sat on the seats in the cubicle, both flustered. I awkwardly said ‘oh sorry’ and closed the door. Then I hear them lock the door. No big deal (to me, at least). Perhaps the accessible toilets were taken at the time, or they couldn’t flag a staff member for the radar key, I don’t mind them using the baby change, happy to wait.
They both come out some time later, the male pushes the door wide open for me and with a sarky voice says ‘oh, guess you really need to go in there then’. The woman looking at me angrily.
Why the hostility! I needed the baby change, I opened the baby change, you didn’t lock it!
